02 Renegades Runner Up in Motown Cup . . .

The 02 Renegades were in Detroit Jan 14-16 for the Motown Cup Tournament Series and played very hard. We won all four of our first round games beating Jackson 6-0, Erie Lions 3-1, North Toronto 2-0 and Ann Arbor 7-1. The Renegades made the finals to face a very tough Jackson team out to revenge their loss from 2 nights ago. It was a 2-1 game late in the 3rd as Jackson scored an empty net goal. The Renegades would finish runner up with only 5 goals against the entire tournament. Job well done!

02 Renegades WIN Rock 'N Roll Cup . . .

The 02 Renegades were in Cleveland Oct 8-10 for the Rock 'N Roll Cup Tournament Series and played very hard. We won our first two games 8-3 and 7-0 against St. Claire Shores and St Catharines respectively. Sunday morning we faced Team Cleveland and found ourselves down 4-1 early in the second period and battled back to score 2 goals in the last 2 minutes to win the game 6-5. We would play Team Cleveland again in the finals, which went to a double overtime shoot out. We won the shoot out 3-1 and thus the game 4-3 and were TOURNAMENT CHAMPS! Great games, hard work, a few lost nerves and lots of fun - way to go Renegades.
