It’s that time of year when the Association looks to its members to find candidates to become officers of the Board of Directors as well as Travel Head Coaches. Applications are now being accepted for both.
The Board of Directors is, among other things, responsible for the overall Association program and the policies and procedures of the Association. Our Directors are not paid and receive no other forms of compensation, but rather volunteer their time and talent to promote the sport of youth hockey for the benefit of the players, their families and our local community.
Board members meet once per month throughout the year. During the weeks leading up to the hockey season, a larger time commitment is needed to prepare for the season. In addition, Board Members assist with Try Hockey for Free, the KVHA All Star Game and District/State Tournaments.
If you wish to join this group of hard working and dedicated individuals, please complete and submit the application below. Candidate declarations will be (emailed/posted) on the KVHA website and copies will be provided to members via email. KVHA holds our Annual Membership Meeting and elections in March each year, right as the season is ending. This allows our families to comment and provide input while the season events are fresh in their minds and before moving on to other spring sports. Normally, nominations are for two year terms beginning in March of 2019. In some cases, shorter terms might be available which will be determined by the election. The deadline for submitting this application is Monday February 18th, 2019
Our Travel and Girls hockey program continues to grow and we are looking ahead to 2019-2020 hockey season. If you are interested in a head coaching position for a travel or girl’s team, please complete the application below. The deadline for submitting this application is Monday, January 14th, 2019.
These are both tremendous opportunities to contribute to one of the largest hockey Associations in the country and further advance the goals of our Association, as well as the continued growth of hockey in our community. We thank you for your consideration and application.
