Michigan Elite Hockey and the Locklear family would like to thank everyone for their support in the KV 3v3 Kindness Tournament on December 28th. This event has become a staple in the girl's game and it will continue to get bigger and better in the years to come. We ran 3 sheets of ice this year with over 40 teams in attendance. Plans are already underway for next season as well as some other fun events and training for girls playing hockey in Michigan.
The Locklear family asked us to pass along the note below as well.
The family of Darian Locklear would like to extend their gratitude for your support and participation in the KV Kindness 3v3. With your support, you will be helping with the Darian Locklear Project for Kindness (more to come on this new foundation) as well as the Darian Locklear Hockey Grant. This year, we granted a total of $13K to five local players so they can continue to pursue their dreams of playing college hockey. Thank you again and we hope to see you at the next event this summer!

19U KV Raven, Sarah Lentz, was awarded one of those grants on behalf of the Darian Locklear foundation. Sarah is currently exploring opportunities that will allow her to play college hockey this Fall. Congratulations Sarah!
