FROM THE RAVEN NEST

The success of our program stems from our approach, our players and our volunteers.  The KV Ravens have helped as many girls as any other program around get into the game, have fun and achieve their goal of playing T1 hockey.  We are now seeing some of our earliest Ravens moving onto Collegiate Hockey!  Just Awesome!

Our program is all about the GIRLS.  Whether it's learning to play, recreational or playing at the highest level and ultimately onto college, we have delivered on all fronts the past 10 years.

From back-to-back (to-back!) State Championship teams, league champions, and big tournament wins, these girls can play!  And the program is positioned for long term success.

For many, the hockey experience at KV has taught their player how to be a teammate, set goals, work hard to reach them and have fun doing it!   We are really proud of them--ALL of them.

We welcome you.  Whether you are brand new to skating or at the top of your game, we have a place in this family for you.

Please reach out to myself or the KVHA office for more information.

KVHA POLICY ON NECK PROTECTION

It is a rule of the Kensington Valley Hockey Association that every player and goalie, in every division, is required to wear a neck guard (or a throat/neck shield for goalies) and a mouth guard during all practices, all training sessions, and all games, whether using Kensington facilities, or at any other arena/rink.
Neck guards and mouth guards are to be worn properly during all ice time. Neck Guard must be a device in which the design intent was to protect the neck. A rolled up sock taped to the neck it not an acceptable neck protector. Mouth guards dangling out of the player’s helmet are also not acceptable.
Safety for the players and goalies is of the utmost importance. It is the responsibility of each coach to ensure that his/her players have the required equipment prior to all practices and games. It is the responsibility of each player’s parents/guardians to ensure that the required equipment is used correctly during all ice time.
